What is Staph?
Staphylococcus aureus (SA) is a common type of bacteria that lives harmlessly in the nose or on the skin of around 25-30% of people. Most people do not even realize they are carrying the germ, or only experience minor problems such as skin infections or boils.
Skin lesions (particularly CA-MRSA infections) often start with a shallow lesion, much like a pimple or red sport (inflamed red spot) on the skin. If the bacterial is not killed quickly, it will have time to consume tissue, kill tissue, and expand laterally and become a deeper lesion. Time can be of the essence. If the flesh eating bacterial is allowed to tunner deeper, the risk increases that the the bacteria will enter the bloodstream and become SYSTEMIC MRSA for which there is currently NO CURE for about 60% of the people who have SYSTEMIC MRSA. Therefore, there is a VERY strong advantage in treating the lesion with a product that will kill MRSA very quickly.
